Take the BIC CRISTAL challenge!

Back to blogs

BIC, leading manufacturer of stationery products has launched a national challenge for you lucky people to finish their BIC Cristal pen and receive £10 back as a PRIZE.

The BIC Challenge was inspired by independent scientific research conducted by the University of Reading into the lifetime of a number of ball point pens available across the UK and Ireland. The BIC Cristal performed the strongest by far, and on average, one pen was found to reproduce the equivalent of 256 love letters, 986 Sudokus and 9.341 signatures- now that’s a lot of ink!

Now BIC is asking you to put pen to paper in a bid to empty a BIC Cristal pen and win £10. From doodles to drawings and scribbles to sketches the BIC Cristal isn’t just for writing, as proven by artist James Mylne, who recreated the famous Johannes Vermeer picture The Girl With The Pearl Earring. It took James approx 90 hours to complete, but thanks to it’s long writing length and oil based ink, just a single pen was needed to finish the work.

To take part in the BIC Challenge look out for on-pack and in-store displays, and log onto www.challengebic.co.uk for more information and terms and conditions.

Start the Challenge but simply purchasing a BIC Cristal pen today! We also stock a massive range of other pens and stationery products!
