The most common reason for a payment being declined is that your card is a Visa Purchasing or Procurement card.  These cards are normaly issued to government, education establishments or large corpoarations. Although these cards have “VISA” on them the secure payment processing system needs to know exactly what card type it is by selecting “Visa Purchasing” in the card type drop down list in the screen after checkout when you have clicked “Confirm and Pay” – see below.
